EMMAUS REUNION
The Emmaus Reunion is having a 4th Day Reunion on Friday, November 16th in Woodland from 6-8:30pm. Please see Marcia Davis for more information.

TURKEY DRIVE
Please join us in front of Rustic Elegance, 419 D St. Marysville, CA, from 3-6pm on Thursday, November 8th. We will be holding signs for the United-Way Turkey Drive. With our participation we will be eligible to receive turkeys that build our Outreach Thanksgiving Baskets.

VETERAN’S DAY SATURDAY WORSHIP
Veteran’s Day and the 16th Annual Parade is on Sunday. So, we are holding a special Worship Service on Satuday, November 10th at 10am. There will not be church on Sunday, please mark your calendars!

OUTREACH TABLE FOR PARADE
No Worship Services will be held on Veterans’s Day, Sunday, November 11th
, but please join us at 9 am to help set-up an community outreach table with donuts, cookeis, coffee and water. Donations of donuts and cookies would be appriciated. Please Stay and enjoy the Veteran’s Day Parade which starts at 11am.

CHURCH CONFERENCE
Our Annual Church Conference is on Sunday, November 18th, 2:30 pm at Yuba City First UMC. Please join in support as we go over church membership, compensation reports, lay leadersip development reports, trustee forms, and recommendations for the 2019 year.

THANKSGIVING BASKETS
To complete the Thanksgiving baskets, donations of food or money are appreciated. Please bring food items to the Youth Room or worship service before Friday, November 16th. Items for donations will be listed in the bulletin and you can check with the Church office for updates, but they include canned items; sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, corn, green beans, cream of mushroom soup, and chicken broth. Other items; instant mashed potatoes, rolls, brown sugar, gravy packets, stuffing, and French fried onions.  If anyone in our church family is in need of food assistance this Thanksgiving, please contact the church office no later than November 16th, 530-743-3007. All requests are kept in confidence.

ADVENT BIBLE STUDY
Pastor Glen’s Advent Bible Study will begin on Wednesday, November 28th at 2pm. The Messiah: The Texts Behind Handel's Masterpiece will deepen your understanding of the biblical passages about the coming of the Messiah and will prepare you for the season. These studies will draw you closer to Jesus in adoration and appreciation. A sign-up sheet is in the Church Office, study cost is $2.00

OUTREACH WINDOW
Donations of fresh fruit or fruit cups to include in the lunch bags would be appreciated.  The Month of June the window gave out 180 sack lunches, referred 14 people to C.A.N., and gave out 28 hygiene bags.  Thank you to all those that have donated!

LIBRARY NEWS
Our UMW Reading Program has now expanded to three shelves in the library! Look to the left of the library desk. Our 2018 UMW Reading Program is quickly coming to a close in August. Areas to read are: Education for Mission, Leadership Development, Nurturing for Community, Social Action, and Spiritual Growth. Please read articles in Response Magazine. Reading program forms are located on the shelf.

Large-print and regular copies of the Nov/Dec issue are available on the table by the Library. $1 is asked to cover the cost. Please use an offering envelope and mark it “Upper Room.”  Thank you.
